Biolab specializes in vegetarian and vegan Italian cuisine, founded in 1991 by Massimo Santinelli. Starting as a small artisan tofu and seitan laboratory, Biolab now employs 90 people across three production plants. The company expanded its facilities in 2003, 2014 (reclaiming a former sawmill), and 2017, totaling 4,500 square meters. The Santinelli Agricultural Company, part of Biolab, cultivates 23 hectares of land, mainly for the production of the seasonal and niche radicchio "Rosa di Gorizia." Biolab's products are certified organic, V-LABEL, and AB (Agriculture Biologique) by the French Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries, and Rural Development. Additionally, Biolab holds BRC and IFS certifications (grade AA and higher level, respectively).
